Reflections - yet another gallery

Posted on Aug 5th, 2007 by Mascha : drop Mascha

Okay, my obsession with serene visuals continues. As always, the photos are a collection from various sites on the web and you can use them for non-commercial purposes as far as I could determine. More will be added whenever I can find some... unless these pages suffer from a seizure due to overload and no one can access my blog anymore.

Let there be transparency and spiraling perspectives and drops

From a vision:   The Multiverse Theory --

Each bubble is a universe, and the big blue ball is surrounded by another universe.... And now imagine each bubble is a multidimensional yin yang with white holes out of which spring forth more universes, and black holes into which they disappear... each universe consisting of living, evolving yin yangs from the smallest subatomic wavicle to the greatest cosmic.... Ah, you get the picture.

Lotus Pond 2

Posted on Jul 29th, 2007 by Mascha : drop Mascha

Welcome, everyone. Please use any of these pictures in your own blogs and posts. They are for you, specifically.

The first lotus pond apparently couldn't handle all the flowers and frogs, so here comes No. 2.
It changes occasionally, whenever I have time.

What do you appreciate most about your mother?

Posted on May 13th, 2007 by Mascha : drop Mascha
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 13, 2007:

Well, for one thing, my mother is a paragon of common sense.

When I was a kid, my mother often used to say with 100 % conviction, "What I can't afford, I don't want  to have in the first place." She said that in German, and she meant it, you see?

Due to my father's long progressive illness, we fell on tough times, so for fun we'd sometimes walk through the beautiful areas of town, stop outside the gates of the loveliest mansions with fairy tale gardens and, without a trace of envy, point out all the best features in turn. After a while of revelling in admiration, my mama would sigh and say something like: "Mensch, am I glad that I don't have to clean that 14 room house."
That was my cue: "Good thing we don't own that Porsche in the driveway. Just imagine if it gets dented..."
"Let alone hit," my mom would add. "And what it would cost to MAINTAIN those gardens, fishponds, whatever else they've got there... You'd have to have servants. And that's the last thing we'd want to have to deal with, pfui."

All the way home we'd crack each other up by making the funniest remarks we could think of about the drawbacks of possessing too much stuff in this world. And then we'd look at each other, beaming, and conclude, "Hey, we're almost rich!"

That's still one of our favorite conclusions today, "Hey, we're so freakin' rich, we've got to give it away."

In gratitude to all mamas wherever they roam,

Mascha

Fearsome Dakinis and Dakas

Posted on May 11th, 2007 by Mascha : drop Mascha

As you are awakening, all the gods and demons of your past, all the latent tendencies of the kosmic collective, will rise up within and without you to claim you as "one of their own."

So don't move. Stay as unbounded awareness itself. Let  them arise... let these forces move and do what they will. They will transform whatever can be transformed within and without, but not You: the unchanging deathless never born everpresent Reality.  Oh God, This beauty...
